One's Dearest As Heroine Poem by james watkin

One's Dearest As Heroine

Try dissociating a name
From its plaque of fame!
Like your own in me, my heroine;
Heart-attached, the same!

Brothers in arms, these whose battles
Lone-strode, fought vainly
O'er life's battlefield who were then
Cloud-carried; pain-free!
