One Thief
One thief on the cross had time to think
And meditate upon his condition
It lead to true repentance there
An honest broken hearted contrition
He could not take it any longer
As the other thief railed on
And finally spoke up as to what he believed
About Jesus Christ God's Son
He knew he deserved to be there
For the sins that he had done
And that the Lord was not deserving of
Any charges against Him... Not a one!
So he asked the Lord to remember him
When His kingdom would come
And received the offer of paradise
Through Jesus Christ God's Son
His destination changed as such
And death no longer a dismay
For in the Lords Resurrection power
He'd be in glory that day
Such a relief in that hour
To know forgiveness for sin
And that change can happen immediately
When we put our trust in Him
Which thief are you in your life
You've robbed God of His glory
And substituted in His place
Your own believing story
Embrace the cross, the cross
The cross of Jesus Christ
And receive yourself the gift of God
For He paid your ransom price
