One summer night, your eyes and mine
were having a deep conversation, down in our hearts.
The gaze we shared in heaven's choicest hour,
wrote the poetry on the hills and rocks,
that years from then, still float in the breeze.
Your breath, you filled me with,
My breath, I filled into yours.
A moment, when heaven came down,
with cups of honey and a bed of roses,
and the feelings of deep exploded in our eyes,
and poetry landed softly on our souls.
Into the river of ecstasy, we swam,
escaping into its eternal sweets.
For years, I longed with an achy deep,
But one summer night, I found heaven on earth.
Those moments are afloat as scented blossoms,
in the quiet night of the summer breeze.
Alive am I in the wake of its light!
Oh how I came back
For the roses that gathered in a field of memories!
Is this the ripe ecstasy, the red cup of wine,
in search of which, I landed on the banks of a lulling lake.
Thrown on the tide of times,
Now I smell the flowers of olden times,
where memories drink the summer air,
and turn into red roses.
While all things change with shadow and light
But a voice of deep pulls me again.
As the earth lay quiet, peaceful at night,
Here turns a heart, unquiet and awake,
Playful by the memories curling by the lake.
A smell hovers back into my breath,
Now rests over the blighted night.
The memories in scented ecstasy,
are alive in the summer breeze.
