MJ, Hello from Texas to Canada! Can't tell you how wonderful it is to see you again! Thank you so much for your encouraging words in re: this particular write; Yes, the realities of the human condition are all too real...and unfortunate- it is an enormous test...of which some do not make it through. Again, wonderful hearing from you once again.
Poignant, powerful, affecting...Your words relay the realities of the human condition. Amazing poetry, Theodora.
Theo, the heart of this poem is breaking.... It's not only breaking, it's also breaking apart and breaking down. And it is breaking the readers' hearts. The pain in these lines is hard to bear. I am saddened to know you are going through this grinding process of being relegated to the sidelines where you cannot help, cannot cure, cannot help, and finally cannot reasonably hope but you cannot help but hope a little. An endurance test for the soul while your heart learns how to let go. This is what excellently written poetry can do- -wringing the readers' heart, but more than that, sharing the human condition so that they too may be better prepared for the slow painful loss of a loved one. My prayers are with you and your family. May love surround you, my dear.
