So your one hour wait at the temple gate was not in vain... You could perhaps see greater grace on that innocent face than on the face of the Goddess! We the fortunate never realize the frozen sorrow of people who are deprived of basic privileges... Enjoyed this beautiful encounter and the leisurely walk to the river and the cornfields! !
Really wonderful imagery you have portrayed here. I felt I am walking in cornfield, could also imagine the temple, trees. Really your poem took me to our village, where there is river, temple. I loved reading each lines. I agree with Valsa comment.
