I first read, felt this poem in the Romantic Period of my life, and it set up strong sympathetic resonances. I still enjoy the poem and admire the poet whose passion and art fashioned it. With that, I hear, I KNOW, “Life remains a blessing” and I know we are capable of living a constantly blessing life. The crooked heart spoken of is the human heart sore-wounded, sometimes contracted by fear or swollen in anger, yet always the seat of Love and the organ through which Love flows between self and neighbor.
