One Day Poem by Mercedes Hall

One Day

Day one to one day
A change nobody could
Prepare the human soul for
When memories
Become daydreams
That fade away with time

When the day you were
Born turns to the day you
Die and everyone
In your past
Has kids
They cry
As they see your
Body lie still
They will wonder why
You wouldnt stay
Atleast one more day

Dont hurt yourself to get rid of the
Pain, the emotinal not physical
Dont cut because your in vain.

Dont think the world is better
Without you here, the world gets
Wetter.

Drenched with tears from
The ground to the sky

As your friends arent
The only who cried

The day after you died it
Rained so hard

Even god was crying
Wondering what he did wrong

Your empty bed, your
Room left just how it
Was before they found
You dead.

Suicide is not
Somthing new
Nor somthing
Normalized

740,000
The ammount of
People whom took
Their life

740,000 people
Whos familys wonder
What couldve prevented
This mess

740,000 people.

Dead.

You should not become one

God does everything
For a reason
Dont end your story
Because of one bad
Chapter.
