One Addiction Leads To Another

The worship of money, is tearing apart,
Our world population today, everyone,
Always wants more, thinking it will bring,
Them happier days.
People are not recognized for talents,
Or the knowledge they have, in any special way,
Only the amount of money, they have,
Attracts attention to them every day.
The mention of large sums of money,
Can make people sit and stare, for hours,
More time than their children, go outside and play,
If actors and athletes on television, only made a small,
Average salary, screen staring, would not be the largest,
Damaging mental addiction, on planet earth today,
People in the beginning were turned on to tv for free,
Now addicts, they are happy with a high monthly fee.
Even elections for our president, we hear more about,
The donations they raise, each day not very much information,
About their education, leadership experience, not over,
And expanded, in every way, right or wrong, it does not,
Matter these days, most people would follow the money,
Trail anyway.
