Once And Now Poem by Alyssa ArtsLover

Once And Now

Once upon a time
When thou wast the light
I was thy distant daylight
The vapour in thine every sigh
I was the drop in thy hidden eyes
The unknow-thy deepest desire

I was thy thirst, thine unquenchable passion
Thy dominating obsession
I was thine unheld possession
The answer of thy frequently asked quiestion

And once upon a now
When thou art the joy in my dreamless nights
Thou art my distant daylight
The airwave in my every painful sigh
Thou art the drop in my eyes
The well known-my truest desire
