On Walls
diwaron pe kya likkha hai

dīvāroñ pe kyā likkhā hai
shahr kā shahr hī soch rahā hai
ġham kī apnī hī shakleñ haiñ
dard kā apnā hī chehra hai
ishq kahānī bas itnī hai
qais kī āñkhoñ meñ sahrā hai
kūza-gar ne miTTī gūñdhī
chaak pe koī aur dharā hai
'amabar' tere ḳhvāb adhūre
ta.abīroñ kā bas dhokā hai
