Learning My Lessons
Perhaps you don't know, English is the third in my life.
That means there are still two languages,
Dutch and Indonesian, a real hot strife
There are also the fourth and the fifth, a long time before
German and French really a big struggle
All these added few time left for me to snuggle
some I got from the butler's wife, Malay and Jakarta Dialect
My Mom told me these are not very correct
Probably my Mom regarded these as not enough
don't forget Latin and Greek are very tough
and as if the future is upon my side
I have to study the English Language and Literature
the choice is indeed a perfect bite
till my graduation day, I am not really in rapture
As a bonus I become a teacher in this matter
for the junior high school... it couldn't be better!
Please do not regard me as a helpless one
before you wake up, my day has already begun
my Mom restrained her annoying wrath
she wanted me to be best-packed on my life's path.....
Dear Mom, if you please...
I love to read books with rhyming ease...
I have bought the newest book
If you think I'm wrong, please have a look
Inside there be many beautiful recognitions
There be also the fairy tales' long definitions
As a child have you believed in magic
illusionists, magicians, and all that tragic
but be sure I won't disappoint you
there be funny clowns in this book and a good clou
It always starts with Once Upon A Time
some parts elope, the rest you don't care a dime
as long as it's able to hold the kids' and your attention
there be funny clinic clowns in this book and the better pretention
I told you I've bought the newest book
If you think I'm wrong, please take a look
Inside there be many interesting pages
also the fairy tales´ famous talks enough for all ages
Santa Claus loves indeed every child
the mind so young, still innocent and so mild
there appears also The Blue Lagoon
Big Love is here shown, they'll lose their innocence very soon
Then we have the month of April
Unlike many other months in this year
The wonderful month does what it will
It will finish there, please don´t shed a tear
Now well well this is my newest book
Please don't say I am a crook
You have read everything I promise
Next time watch better out you won't miss
the surprise, the cute kids, and how
the wonderful content too and the best clou, wow!

A wonderful glimpse into your life. Beautifully narrated with an easy rhythmic motion of words. English is not my mother tongue either but it's a universal language connecting people. I thoroughly enjoyed this poem.5 stars!
