On These Beautiful Nights Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

On These Beautiful Nights

On These Beautiful Nights

On these dark colorful nights,
With twinkling starslights,
And sprinkling glitters of the city lights from this hill,

This soul of a transitory man walks,
Walks into the forever mansions of the night sky,

Equipped with his meager possession, the only body he can trust,
Those counted moments to eternity,

While all the whirlwinds, all the chaos and the sometime beauty paraded before his eyes, his senses,

Paradise lost, paradise regained,
All in vain is this beautiful night like a virgin, desists to be owned.
