She is the ever changing wind
Blowing wildly across the empty stillness of the continent,
Like a restless spirit with a mountain of bitterness sent
To roam around the loud universe,

The pace of this work is exhilarating, frightening, and catching. And the words you have chosen are just right- -embroider the startled skies above, With a palette of vibrant colours and set free the trapped dove, - - - - - - - - - - AND- - - - -] She has no time to rehearse As she chases life. Well done!

The rhythm itself, matches beautifully the theme of the poem. And the imagery and the emotional intensity in it makes it a great read!

The bud of love that flowered into ecstasy and agony now leaves her with a mountain of agony for which, I hope, she shall find a solution in a new and true love. Loved the imagery invoked in this poem

Melancholy feelings come from this poem, always on the run, not allowing love to hold her heart because of possibly afraid of it making her a prisoner. Vivid and enticing poem, thank you for sharing it! 10++++ RoseAnn

Coming back, I find it so nice, in your own way you give the feelings felt so vividly, in true poetic form.

What a lovely metaphor, description of a woman who can't settle to live anywhere, she is driven to keep moving on, running away from unresolved issues and the rejection of her only love. She feels that the warmth of love is not meant for her. Hazel Durham has her own style of description that at once touches the hearts.

Nicely written, Hazel. Being rejected is very hurtful. Some cope better than others. The lady in your poem is obviously devastated, she keeps miving on, afraid to settle somewhere or with someone. So badly has her confidence been shaken.

With unsettled passions and the pain of lost love, she moves from place to place in search of peace. However she is not dejected. She is relieved of the initial shock and peace is slowly settling in! She is not ready to be subdued by the vagaries of fate and keeps moving to find a better haven! A beautiful poem to read!

I have not by the first reading made up my mind what it is about, but it sounds so beautiful.
