The dentist seemed quite pleased
As he opened my mouth and surveyed

Wonderful poem presented very well. Now you can have pearly smile while reading this poem filled with experience. I just remember the tough time i had with my dentist. Rather I will tell dentist had very tough time with me. Finally when everything got over, I told him I wrote a poem on him. Really such a frightening experience I almost fainted. Enjoyed reading your poem.

3rd line gave me a GOOD laugh! GEE! i ALSO laughed at these lines [Valsa is getting to be quite the comedienne! ! ! ! ]: From 'verticality' I got changed into 'horizontality' ............ and she is a decent maker-upper-of-words! ! ! ! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - And the overhead apparatus came down Like an eagle swooping down on its prey...........you're 'killing me', Valsa! ! ! i laughed even harder with these lines! ! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - STOP it! ! let's be a little more serious! after all, he is probably about to do serious damage to your face AND wallet! ! ! ! [i'm not sure if i should 'allow' that usage of irk, even if you claim poetic license. i may have to REVOKE your license! ] - - - - - - - - - a sprout of blood inside! ! .........MORE laughter! (sprout?) (are you in the dentist's kitchen?) “being gagged”…………the most laughter (so far) (I repeat: “you’re killing me”) WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW! ! ! ! ! ARE YOU SURE I [Bri] DIDN’T WRITE THIS? ? ? ? ! ! ! ! I might send this to MyPoemList ………………..four times! I’ve never laughed so much at a PH poem, or probably any poem, including my own! wow! TRUE STORY, right! ? bri :) I may even have to share with friends. maybe send to Obama and Putin and tell them both to “lighten up”! your poem should help them to do so. i've sent to 7 friends so far, but almost forget to send this comment to YOU!

I am so surprised by your compliment! Bri Edwards the king of humour.... are you making fun of me or do you really mean it? What humour is here to make you so impressed..I wonder? I wrote about a real harrowing experience in my life..... Of course in a lighter vein! Happy that this poem is added to your poem list! Also thanks that you sent it to your friends!

You've brought to life what it feels like to go to the dentist. It's such a great poem I'm grateful to be at home until I remember...that chipped tooth I ought to see the dentist about...Now I'm too afraid to go...

Our pain is the dentist joy! In this poem you have very nicely captured the essence of being crucified on the dentist's chair. But anyway we have to endure it, for what matters is our teeth and look!

Such a great description of your visit Valsa. Though it doesn't make me want to go! It really is an invasion of privacy yet we have to do it. Keep smiling your pearly whites.

A visit to the dentist turns life vertical to horizontal. Whole episode is beautifully described. Relief from original pain is what counts ultimately.
