Good poem, Peter. I recalled the years right after the VietNam War when we had so many refugees moving to Colorado Springs and several children were in my kindergarten classroom. When the others drew pictures such as you mentioned in your first stanza, every last one of the Viet Nam children drew tanks, planes, soldiers. That's all they had ever seen in their short lives.
