On my way I go
Bag stacked with joy n hope
Expecting life would just flow
Stories of struggles and difficulties
Sounded like folklore
On my way I go
Halfway through
Seeing smiles of both friends and foe
Not knowing there's hate behind the smiles and love behind scolds
On my way I go
It's getting warmer
Almost like the expectations are getting bigger
And heat of the pressure is getting higher
And the role plays are tuning my morale too low
On my way I go
family or desire
A cross road with sign or direction
Each tugging with utmost importance
Who would've known this twist in the journey
And glint of hope shimmers
The realization that there's still more to go
On my way I go
With only a quarter left it's more like
Can't I just go back?
I'm almost there
Yet the prize stares
like I'm 500 centuries away.
Friends and foe are back again
Each face flickering with reliance, faith
and the hope that I'll make it for all
On my way I go
5 more steps to go
My back aches from hate and backlash
Criticism and disbeliefs stares me right in the face
Tears of joy and sorrows
trembling down my face with no withdrawal
On my way I go
More like once in my life I went
Amidst the pending generation I sit
Telling the story behind my undeniable glow.
