On George's Departure Poem by keith brown

On George's Departure

Dear George
Skiddadle, please don't fret,
We haven't killed the frogmouth, yet!
Nor will we shine lights in its eyes
Or try and take him by surprise.
In fact we will be ideal hosts,
We've left sunglasses on his favourite post!

What does it mean, to kill the frogmouth? Keith, this is your latest poem, from more than a year and a half ago. I hope you are still with us and doing well.

Who is George? A poet's note would have been nice on this one. (Some good rhymes here.)

I agree, Belle. A poet's note would have been helpful, and you are right about the rhymes.
