The little boy believed Jesus had answered his prayer He came in the guise of a man, he had never before seen With rising delight, he saw a star in the graying sky It shone right over his head with a brighter sheen..... nice theme. Loved these lines. Beautiful poem on Christmas Eve with a touching story.
So spare a thought for those who are poor Without a home and with hunger gnaw Not knowing what tomorrow will bring Only prayers left on which to cling A little help brings tears to their eyes The cheer you spread will make you cry We are brothers all the Good Book say All deserves joy on this blessed day Thank you Valsa, very touching poem.
Unfortunately life is hard For those destined to live in the junkyard Like waste, there they rot No one has any thought Their sad plight we like to disregard Loke, I admire your compassionate heart! Thanks for this great response!
I loved both. The story of the poor boy and the generous rich man as well. Being charitable is the best way to celebrate Christmas. A lovely theme for this festival period. A lovely poem Valsa!
What a beautiful write for Christmas. I too, had tears in my eyes reading this lovely poem. So many who go without while some no expense is spared. This one touched my heart.
A touching Christmas poem, we should do something for the poor men on such occasions.
I so wish the story to be true ! ! It is a beautiful Christmas poem.I too believe, God answers our prayer in many different ways.
A fascinating write on the eve of Christmas….while presenting a poor family’s agony, disappointment and sorrow drenched with acute poverty, a little child’s belief and the ultimate dividend is very neatly depicted in this fabulous poem….The little boy strongly believed in Jesus and ultimately his prayer was heard....Lastly, he was delighted to see a star in the graying sky….This poem carries a great message!
we may experience HIS grace and kindness in such a situation - beautiful lines from your pen -
This brought tears to my eyes Valsa, such an inspirational story, so beautifully crafted about, belief, faith, truth and Jesus. A miracle for Christmas, a poor boy with nothing only his spirit and a balloon, with his great belief he writes a message to Jesus then he lets go the balloon and a rich man finds the balloon and his message! A beautiful message for us all on Christmas Eve! Thank you for sharing!
