It had rained all night
And drenched the land outright
Leaving puddles and pools,
Here, there and everywhere.

Water flows silently and you have watched its flow and felt the importance of selfless service of water. In directions all round autumn leaves scatter. Each drop weighing gallons water has greater vengeance.Waves of giggles motivate mind. An excellent imagery is drawn in this poem. July Morn is very memorable. I am glad revisiting such a poem of great worth.

The sky over cast with dark clouds Fired out like a water cannon. Once more the rain, Cascaded down with greater vengeance Each drop weighing gallons And the silver needles pricking deep Making the children flee In directions all round Like autumn leaves Scattered by the wind! ..........Touching and impressive. I love these lines. It is a marvelous poem on a wet July morn having haunting and touching expression.

A lovely poem and homage to nature and her moods and seasons. The first 2 stanzas were my favourite for imagery and tight rhyming scheme.

Let the moods of the unpredictable nature entice us And let these lines pour in the threads of a rain very dear.... Where poetry is the music of hope, You may sing it madam, Valsa...

Oh! Mother Nature How erratic are your moods. How true this is, a lovely poem Valsa as always.

We know the reward of sin is death.Every action has its equal and opposite reaction(Cause and effect) catastrophe on land and the Sea is made by human hands, tells Qur'an.No proper covering by vegetation on high lands and no better drainage system in cities which make flood. Good narration of the day.

Unpredictable Mother Nature - we need everything moderate and things happen in extremes. You describe nicely as child throwing tantrums in a beautiful poem. Please also read my poem 'Mother Earth' which has some complementing thoughts. Thank you.

So intimidating are the mood-swings of this unpredictable mother nature, the hands that pray for rain, again pray to God to have mercy and stop the rain, ... sometimes nature discriminates too according to the prevalent class-distinction, when it rains some fry gram-drops, and take swings and some hold wipers in hands, praying that the top might not fall on their heads...the poem speaks for itself!
