This is a very skillful piece of writing. The threat of imminent war and the preceding ominous signs are so wonderfully captured through dark and eerie imagery. And the graphic complements the poem so well. As a reader i'm overwhelmed by the impact of the poem.10 perfectly.
I so appreciate your comment. I worked on this piece quite a bit, revising it several times. Glad to know it achieves its intent. I wish it was not necessary to write about this topic.
