I have submitted a protest poem Hey Poem Hunter regarding all that rubbish which separates our work from the votes. I took me ten minutes to give Bharati a 10 for one of her poems! And then I tried to put it on my favourites list. I gave up in exhaustion. i don't think I've read any of yours but I'll remedy that now.
We both are more than what we manifestly seem, My old oak tree and me! And though our embers scatter in a cruel breeze Tomorrow we shall dress the earth withmelodies of fresh green With perennial presumption of our worth, Tall and arrogant as befits our beings- - - - - To my poem list.
We carry a lot of history in ourselves, mostly still a mystery to us. And I often wonder about my origins. my mother's family are of Viking descent and some of my father's ancestors were French. So I'm a real mixed bag! Thank you for your lovely comment, Bharati
Autumn breeze, oak leaves, deciduous dreams, Your living bark stores rings of memories, Climatic changes, centuries of data, Beneath my skin, Each helix of my DNA still carries Worlds before my conscious being. - - - - Wow- -What a poem! ! I love every word of it.
Well worth the visit, my friend. Looking forward to reading more of your poems
Visionary, as though written with a sterling silver fountain pen.
Thanks and I shall look you up now as I don't think I've read any of your poems yet. Most remiss of me Tom
A wonderful poem on nature. Mixing nature write with one's life enhanced the beauty of this poem. Superbly penned.10
I wrote it last night. I was thinking of dreams being deciduous and yet like the Spring leaves they often return to inspire us.
Written as only a Brit could write it.. arrogant indeed ever since king Arthur.. Look ye for a stone and anvil and make a place for a cat to sit at your feet.... impressive
Quite right. Well, my daughter says I can be a bit arrogant! As you the cat, I have to bow down to her! If you think I'm arrogant....! !
In-depth meter that is fascinating appealing! ! A brilliant write Tom!
It's a bit experimental, Bill. Thanks for your comments. I need to get back to writing. I've been doing a lot of translating and editing recently so I haven't posted much these last few weeks.
In a dream we perceive nature after reading your nice natural poem. This is very brilliantly penned. Oak leaves really gives now autumn breeze. Tomorrow we shall see new dress of Earth. An excellent sharing is done here.10

DECIDUOUS DREAMS...they have their time, and they are shed to make way for next year's growth. PERENNIAL PRESUMPTION of our tall stance...laudable for expressing those worlds that underlie our conscious being.
