Old Man Time Poem by T.L. Toadvine

Old Man Time

She held me once
And I was immortal
Nothing could touch me

We were magic
We were dreams
We touched heaven
But that was years ago

Now the sun rises
Without her
The reality
Too real

Time slowly walks away
Till only our dreams remain

The old man comes
To claim all I ever was
And all I dreamed to be

Only she knows the truth
That is enough
That
Is all I ever wanted
