Hello, Sandra! This poem takes my breath away. It's really wonderful.
wow, sandra this is really a powerful poem. i wish i have written it. cheers.
How do we manage all those feelings of loss.I think that God has more than one hand in it.This is so deep and very special.Love Duncan
life's like that! nothing to much regret. we just take things as they come on. things go amiss despite all care. But worrying alone doesn't help. Good poem Sandra. Regards, Dr John Celes
just had some time to read some more poetry-i like this piece very much-using strong imagery-it teaches the reader how to let go of loss; yet embraces propriety at the same time. thanks for posting it. tovli
This poem made me feel as if I was back in the land of utopa, wher love and contment never stops. I have found that in life and now in your poem. What beautiful words. cheers Sylvie
i love the first line and the whole aspect of this poem. you did a very nice job! beautfully done!
Revisiting an old love, I normally just do this in my mind, the last line about drinking in the landscape is great.
' I think some things should never have been said.' It is something like 'Act in haste and regret at leisure.' It is a human tendency and it always happens. Sometime such stray thoughts give life to words in the form of Sandra's tiny but sweet poem-'Old Feelings'
I love this poem Sandra, come to a conclusion, a settlement in the twilight years is a rare gift..................sharing each other......what else we expect?
The poem creates nostalgic feelings in me! I would like to qote from Shelley's 'Skylark'; - 'We look before and after, And pine for what is not, Our sincerest laughter, - With some pain is fraught, Our sweetest songs are those that tell of saddeast thoughts ' For your poem 10+ -Raj Nandy
