The phrase mind's eye refers to the human ability for visualization, i.e., for the experiencing of visual mental imagery; in other words, one's ability to see things with the mind.....as copied from a google article. i think i know what the poem lines: As the years passed quickly by, Old Blue remained in his mind's eye, always thinking of what he would someday accomplish. mean but i don't think the wording is accurate, given the above definition. i wonder how many dogs (and cats, and birds, AND humans) do the same thing? ? i liked His mind surpassed his reality......thanks for sharing. :)
