IN my grandparents'days,
They had 12 or 13 children,
They lived in a joint family.
But now, we two, we are three,
And no one is free.
When in joint family,
One or the other,
would take care.
Now in a nucleus family,
Both go for work.
They have to share
their work to be
At ease.
If they get a child,
if they are lucky,
He may take care
At their old age.
If unlucky, or lucky
They may be in the
Old age home.
Sometimes un-cared for
Dying like an orphan
