I am having trouble finding the right words to express my feelings about this poem. Beautiful- -yes but the word is so over-used [though still true]. Exquisite- - -yes, that word isn't over-used and it has the connotation of delicacy, an Audrey Hepburn kind of beauty lies in these lines. Sensitive- - - -yes, this poem seeks to know what lies behind the veils of life and people and literature and Truth with a capital T. This exquisite sensitive poem sings to the reader, it's like a train whistle coming closer through the night, closer to our lighted porch. This is a fantastic Bharati poem and is a perfect choice for the 100th poem. A thousand 10's and a place on My Fav Poem list

Bharati, you are an eternally inspired poet. You don't therefore have to call out to the muse. The muse is right there at your porch. Beautiful write. (10)

This is so beautifully written. A wonderful poem to be number 100. An irresistible invitation for the muse. I remember I was a long time on 99 a few years back. (my own number 100 was titled Y..... Happiness) I still feel that to reach that magic 100 is a special achievement. Congrats. Keep it up.

A beautiful poem, from the way I understood it, nature exposes all it's beauty for the world to see, completely different from humans because people keep their feelings hidden, their emotions under control, but in reality like nature, its all a natural reactions to life..A way to be free. To quote..don't delay come to the lighted torch

There is an urgency in this poem as you appeal to the muse, already present, to do more than just lend her presence. She is too removed to give you the help you need so you summon natural things to gently show her there is nothing to fear when she unveils herself. The sun, birds, butterflies have all unveiled themselves in the lavish sunlight and all is well. Soon the muse will remove her veil, confidently revealing her secrets to the waiting poet. The tenderness in your poem is remarkable, I can feel it inside me. That is the first gift of the muse to you and you share it with your readers,

Thank you for your marvelous comment. We generally fear to reveal our deepest feelings though they move us too strongly. We want to express or pour out, but can not because of this fear.
