Oh My Fireflies! Poem by Abinesh Anbazhagan

Oh My Fireflies!

Nights down a silhouette of winter
Seemingly a willow path, a little far
The billywig - a wondrous sense
Known to sting and levitate
Yes you did,
stinging my heart
levitating a top

I get to capture from fantasy
Retaining the frantic surprise
I relive a nostalgia
When I see you and your colourful dancers
Lighting the darkest air,
Here and there!

Am drawn to so lately
After drown of a scowl sense
Those magical flutters
Fill one light and one after
Steps to near, like the paws of a tiger
Not to chase, but yes to gaze more
Can do this forever!
Oh my beautiful fireflies!
Oh my beautiful fireflies!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Imagining fireflies once by the name billywig, came to be true when I enjoyed the fireflies for real on a dark night, that takes me to nostalgia while enjoying the firefly dancing.
