Oh Lord... Poem by Michael Shepherd

Oh Lord...

Rating: 0.5

O Lord, out of the depths do I cry unto Thee,
O Lord, hear my prayer:
I am stricken unto the heart,
and mine enemies close in about me;
to whom but Thee may I cry for succour?

unusual volume of calls,
all our supervisors are currently engaged.
You call is important to us –
please continue to hold..’

(Banged out after an hour and a half of selecting non-relevant 'options',7 referrals to other telephone numbers (two already rung) , and waiting, waiting, waiting...to book a routine check... The blood pressure's almost down now...)

I too pray in moments of extreme tension. Keep meaning to buy a punchball - the fleeting religious inclinations seem slightly unethical. Funny M... t x
