Of scientists and engineers

The New York Book Review said that Samuel Coleridge has said
It would take 500 Sir Isaac Newtons to make a John Milton or a William Shakespeare
And in the same breath, said that John Keats in his poem, Lamia,
Has said that science will unweave a rainbow
Which in other words, translated to the statement that
Isaac Newton had destroyed the poetry of the rainbow
By reducing it to a prism;

While I recognise the truth behind these attestations,
Which is that there is the depths of the soul in the creation and creativity
And the weight of the heart in the result,
As an engineer and scientist, I must say
That 500 John Miltons or 500 William Shakespeares
Could not make a Sir Isaac Newton;

There is the workings of the mind
Which when combined with the intensity of thought and experimentation
That results in the phantasmagorical world of engineers and scientists
A different world of creation and creativity;

Who was so effectively portrayed by Marilyn Monroe in the movie version
And who says that scientists and engineers apart from being clever, do things that do help;

Talking about Lorelei Lee, the blonde who was from Little Rock, Arkansas,
I refer to the male platinum blonde, Bill Clinton, who is also from Little Rock, Arkansas,
Who was mortifyingly impeached as President of the USA
And in this connection, I have to protest over an article in The New York Times magazine
Which was well written but said that newspapers had called Monica Lewinsky, the intern in question,
With whom Bill Clinton had dilly dallied a tad much, a harlot,
Which is gross exaggeration bordering on misrepresentation of Toronto Star newspaper and TIME magazine and CNN TV facts;

But as Lorelei Lee has also said in the book, Men liked to edicate her
And I, as a buxom bosomed black haired beauty who
Answers to the description of a feminist also,
Like to ‘edicate' my male compatriots in return;

And I say that The Brittanica Guide has not included Amedeo Avogadro in its collection
And I learnt from the Wikipedia that he only came up with the Avogadro Law
The actual Avogadro number which is the total no: of atoms, molecules or ions in one mole of a substance

And on the other side, George W. Bush, Donald Trump and Stephen Harper and Doug Ford,
But I must draw your attention, dear reader, to another blonde haired lady, Ms. Sophie Gregoire, the wife of PM Justin Trudeau
Who has sang beautifully, a song to her daughter, Smile for me;

But if it is about blonde bombshells,
It is also about black haired beauties who are stunners like PM Justin Trudeau and me
If we scintillate, we also titillate and are articulate, him more so than me
And he is so immaculate and does assimilate what I have to say
And facilitates publishing and funding promises;

Black haired beauties whose curls are like black reels
Can project simply splendid images
Which are true to life
And speak of stages of their success.
