Of old age now I am fond,
With it now I have firm bond;
Silvery hair and shrunken cheeks,
On eyes a pair of spects antique.

Accepting old age is the best way to be and appreciating beauty and knowing our contribution to the world. Your words of wisdom are backed up with great rhyme and I love 'through sudden slips tongue often fleece'! 10 love Karin
Old age arrives, whether we like it or not, So we may as well be content with our lot. Age brings its own beauty, with other things of course, But think on it, pal, being dead would be worse. A lovely poem, my friend. Good wishes for many more years of reading your work. Hugs from Great Grandmama.
just like in a baby...this aged look has a glow of love i feel...a beautiful poem sir...10
We are all sunset travelers. It is just that some of us reach the West before others do. I love your title.10, from me. As always, Sandra
wow a lovely poem for senior citizens but for me I will always respect those grey hairs you remind me lots of my grandfather who is no more now surely a tenner for yours love anjali
C.P., I remember my dear mother saying over and over, old age does not come by itself. Today with body aging, health failing, I can feel the words she spoke. However, I have learned to live with my senior years and not become old myself; they have become the most rewarding of a long and happy life. So like you I am fond of old age. In Africa they say that when an old man leaves this world, a library dies, judging from the reading I obsorb, they could be right! You have written a poem of inspiration for all senior people. Thank you regards Bob
Good work CP, we have to accept the inevitable in the end, 10 Lynda xx
old means more achievements in life..old age requires nothing..we all pass this stage..tho, it undergoes physical changes but the smartness ang alertness remain...old age have firm, fixed and smart decisions..whether it is good or bad, they will stand for it.....again...old age have still hearts, minds tho less performance coz of their age..and we should remember that old age is different from aged people....this poem is so nice..retention, attention, care, and love are all these old age need...
Isn’t it funny, isn’t it strange, what happens to people as they all age. For myself I have noticed that on the inside my character’s better and so is my mind. I love to read books, learn new ideas. I’ve taken up hobbies in my late years. But my eyesight is failing, my hearing is weak, which is sad as it’s now that my need of them’s peaked. To look on the bright side I suppose it’s a blessing, for I don’t see my wrinkles when I am dressing. As for the housework, dusting and mopping. I can’t see the dirt So I just go out shopping! haha Ruthy
age is in the mind so i now find i may have become slow i lkie the pace and flow only y'day i was thinking who wants to be young and foolish again. I am also happy where i am now... Mamta
Old is gold to those who bears wisdom...............and righteousness to their hearts! ! !
