Of hair coming in the way of the pursuit of fame and fortune

My curling iron works beautifully on my hair
And earlier this morning, it struck me
That it is a cascade of hair
For if my curly hair is like a forceful waterfall
And like a smaller version of the Niagara Falls
My elder sister's straight hair is like the
Softer fall of the Bridal Veil Waterfalls in Manitoulin Island;

It was a long time back
That I worked for a living
As my 20 year old son is fond of saying
And I am really busy and successful now
But somehow, money is hard to come by, practically non-existent;

I remember my young male loves
With whom there was unspoken romance
As a married woman with a young child
And I was transported momentarily this morning
To the time I had the Dutch Erik and the Swiss Martin
Dancing attendance on me;

It is funny that there is very little in internet literary quotes
That describe the intensity of the sexual longing I had felt
To feel a man inside of me and sucking my breasts
A veritable passionate desire;

Perhaps, it was the close proximity
With which we worked
As well as the unspoken barrier between my husband and I
Which, in retrospect, was partially the result
Of the essential difference between the sexes
Which no amount of adherence to feminism
Can erase and it is best to resign one's fate to feminine feminism;

It may be trite
But "I had felt a fire within my soul"
A burning and a yearning to be touched and held
And made love to slowly and lingeringly
And in the same breath, faster and harder,
With the gaining momentum of intense physical love
Reaching its orgasmic fervour;

I was denied the fulfillment of this longing
Perhaps, it was a wide circle of friends,
And in other ways, the gentlemen were wont to woo me together
And this, as I have learnt the hard way,
Does not make for happy endings.
