He was often torn between light and dark.
He revealed a kind of mystical art.
The poems he composed were filled with power.
They concern themselves with root and flower.
O each one brims with myriad meanings!
O he understood why the caged bird sings!
His dream-like notions transcended his age.
His genius still glows on every page.
