Glad to know that there are men like you who can understand what onerous duties are performed by women, staying at home. In fact the tedium of never ending chores a woman endures is never understood or appreciated by men. But many of them silently carry out all household chores without complaint, trying their level best to make their husbands and children happy. Their silent services should not be under ignored, though not always appreciated. A meaningful poem, beautifully put!
'Glad to know that there are men like you...' Thanks but I have a confession to make. I am one that appreciate, fine, but still a useless guy being tolerated, for it is known, he is only a poet that plays a lip service, and who whenever tries to help, he makes a mess of it. First spoiled by loving sisters, and later declared (soon after marriage) , 'he's beyond redemption or repair.' But thanks, it still feels good.

Thanks, the only thing, I think, that sustains this home-maker doing a thankless job is: it is a labour of love and expects rewards nor thanks.

A great tribute to Home- Makers. Home making is a noble and never ending work. The first ministry of a woman must be her home. And it entails a lot of work; keeping.the home and taking care of children are the most demanding chores. A beautiful poem with a meaningful message.
Thanks for relating to the poem's contents. You are absolutely right. Although I have penned this poem, I confess, I am still very useless to extend a helping hand, 'What good is such appreciation? as my wife said on reading this.
It is really pathetic that people rarely understand the valuable contribution of a housewife for the family. She earns no recognition and scoffed as doing nothing and sitting at home.
