Ode To The Decrepit Hotel That Smells Like Body Odor Poem by Pamela Storch

Ode To The Decrepit Hotel That Smells Like Body Odor

As I walked up many stairs,

And entered the hotel,

I checked in at reception,

And was hit with such a smell.

And in my room the stench increased,

Like armpit was the air,

And even on the towels,

There was body odor there.

The lobby's coffee reeked of it,

The carpets creaked with age,

It felt quite like a nursing home,

I wanted to burn sage,

The bedding smelled like B.O.,

Like a perfume was the smell,

If eau de B.O. was for sale,

The source is this hotel.

And so the moral of this poem,

I certainly propose,

Is do not sleep in any place,

You need to hold your nose.
