Ode to PM Justin Trudeau's speeches
-Gayathri B. Seetharam
Mr. Prime Minister, I see the progress you have made
Surely, it is a case of both performance and personality
I say it is also the words that you speak
Some of them which are worth their weight in gold;
If the words you speak
Are salve to the soul
They also inspire me
To reach new heights of glory;
Your style of speech
Has become slow and unhurried,
Deliberate and inveterate
It is sexier but lacks the previous fresh faced spontaneity of a green horn;
You said it was all our fight in the UN address,
The fight to combat climate change
And the struggle to ward off COVID-19 virus
If it is "fair attitude" you seek, I join in the fighting forces;
You are my man for latitude in life
Words of magnitude
Result in your amplitude
"Good words are worth much and cost little" and it would be a good attribute.

I would like to translate this poem
A fitting tribute to a decent prime minister. He could learn a lot from studying his father's political career. Also, a wonderful work of art that beautifully complements the poem.
