Light on the tongue,
Such a light word, light..
Yet full of power,
Its speed our ultimate measure
Bending round the Universal Spheres
To bring our histories.
A light touch lights the heart's fires
A light breeze seduces us
As the sweet sound of a distant choir.
A light voice commands the listening ear.
And how lightly in the morning, early
It so attaches to the dew
Its tiny globules of pure mercury,
Always the messenger!
For once it's bright and sunny here. Think I started musing about the nature of light and the word light itself and its connection to Mercury, the Roman messenger to the Gods. Thanks for your comments, edward.

Thanks, Sumit. Think of Light as the messenger for several reasons. A light voice is best to convey meaning, as you yourself use in your verse.
