Ode To Life Poem by Gary Bernard

Ode To Life

Those of us who are left might choose to live fully, allowing those who have passed on to continue to be present. Not just sorrow, but joy for having known and loved them.

In every sunrise, their essence is felt, each laugh, a reminder of their joy. Their spirit sustains us, our hearts, their eternal home.

We savour the memories, hold them tight, they light our way through the darkest night. In moments of silence, we feel their grace, in our lives, they've found their place.

Yet, in our hearts, the pain still lingers, grief's shadow casting over us. But through our emotions, a love that binds, a lasting legacy in our minds.

For in their passing, we find a call, a whisper in the soul, a stark recall. To seize each day, to live it the best we can, in every breath, a moment's stand.

Living for them, we honor their days, through our joy, they shine in myriad ways. In the dance of life, they're the hidden beat, in every embrace, their presence sweet.

Let their love guide us as we move ahead, for they live within, a light that's spread. Celebrate the love, the moments we shared, in living fully, show how much we cared.

Their zest for life, a torch we bear, to honor them, we might dare. To live our days with love and light, in their memory, find our might.
