A beautiful piece on death. And it strikes drawing my attention as I've written a lot on death. But one point, death perhaps is not an endless sleep. It is much longer than the one night's that we sleep daily. Only the last sleep (death) before liberation/salvation I think is endless. But this again is subjective, who knows?
Dear Joseph, This is a great poem. I fully agree with its contents. Death is not something to be afraid afraid of if we have managed to make our life count for at least a few people. From reading your wonderful poems I can easily see that you must have been a kind person who has made a positive difference in many people's life. Certainly you are now still making a positive difference with your superb poetry. I am afraid of the death of my loved ones but not so much of my own death. What you said in this poem concurs really with my own conviction about death. In the mean time I hope that each of us can still contribute a whole bit more. I for sure want to read many more of your poems and your wisdom you share freely here in this website.
....beautiful thoughts expressed so nicely...thank you for sharing.
Excellent Joseph, and agree with what you say. Death can be a welcome release.
A wonderful vision of hope and graceful peace. I still love your writing Joseph.
A very idealistic way of looking at death.....! What a strange coincidence.... I too have written a poem on death entitled Farewell which I am intending to post now! So happy to see you with a sweet poem after a long gap! A sure 10
A very good and realistic poem on death. Even in life we should remain positive about it. A good read Joseph.
