there is an & clinging to and. :) favorite lines of mine; or should i say yours: I can see you moving away like tail-lights in the distance red to pink, growing still fainter if this guy is/was a real guy in your life, it sounds like you are lucky to lose him. a well-put-together 'story'. a druggie, or just stupid and oblivous? ? enjoyed. bri :)

WOW It's painful to have to confront so many bitter realizations in just about 12 lines - but what is necessary is almost always painful. Pleasant things don't stay undone long enough to get labeled - it's the tough love, the farewells, the departures that preoccupy us as you shoe in your poem. Even in the last passage you're still following after with hope and a gift of attention.
