Observations Poem by Phil Soar

Observations

Observations on out of place railway stations
Waiting for a train to come
Miles off the beaten track
Looking from the platfrom at the straight lines
Fading into the distance
I will see the train before its driver sees me
I hope it stops
It is after all Thursday
And it only stops twice a week
I hope I have the right day
I check the timetable
Replacement bus service today
No sign of the bus though
Observations on out of place railway stations
