O Wretched Man That I Am! Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

O Wretched Man That I Am!

The good that I want,
I do not do, but
I practice the very
evil that I do not want,
and in desperation
cried out, O wretched
man that I am!
Who shall deliver
me from the body
of this death? .

That was the prayer
of St. Paul in penitance.
