O My Darling Country Bangladesh Poem by Adeeb AlFateh

O My Darling Country Bangladesh

o my Bangladesh
my darling country
for the thousands drop of blood shedding
you are,
for the razing, destruction, tumult devastation,
you are,
for the thousands drop of tears
you are,
for the thousands dead souls
you are
for the violation of the chastity of the thousands mothers and sisters
you are
o my Bangladesh
my darling you are

by this way
why have you taken birth
after being an innocent child
why have you lost everything as guilty
in your childhood
why have you lost your parents
o my Bangladesh
my darling country

you are now in full handsome youth;
From the your orphanage age
how outlandishly you've come at this age
how picaresque,
how vagabond life now you're spending
still you are alive in your drowsy mood
without any conscience
why these are…
o my Bangladesh
my darling country

we didn't want blood stained flag
we didn't want blood stained green grassy field
we wanted your freedom
but in the golden graceful smiling

by this way
would you spend your this entire youthful life
wouldn't you awake to posses your all rights
by this way
would you get on the old age boat or
launch your journey to the ever going path
why are you still silent
why these stillness
o my Bangladesh
my darling country
