This is a uniquely written and very charming poem to read, Anna. It's quite well phrased and tells it's story quite well. It seems to me that his poem was written when you were a bit younger, perhaps while still in your teens, since it seems more like a young lover speaking than a more mature woman of twenty-something narrating the poem. One's understanding of love and how one expresses it changes as you get older. Still, this is a good poem just the same. Carl.
