O For The Pleasure And Treasure Poem by Gary James Smith

O For The Pleasure And Treasure

O For The Pleasure And Treasure

O for the pleasure and treasure of
Having victory over sin
Now it can no longer hold me captive
For the Holy Spirit dwells within
And greater is He who's within me
Than he who is in the world
My victory lies in my faith in Christ
The written and living Word

The Lord...He gave His life for me
When I really understood that fact
I couldn't help but fall to my knees
It was my first true repentance act
And Christ met me at my cross road
Revealing His work on the Cross for me
And Heaven's door was opened that day
Because of Calvary

From passiveness to praises
My new heart began its rejoicing
And as well that gospel message
Others heard of it now through my voicing
Redeemed how I love to proclaim it
Repent and you shall not perish
Give up those sins that hold you fast
The sins that you now cherish

There's an abundant life at your disposal
Check it out it's found in God's Word
For when you turn from your sin and repent
Praise God you'll find the Lord
There's life in a look at the crucified One
The only one who went
from a Cross to a grave
Who then...Hallelujah! ..rose again!
And whomsoever calls upon Him...praise God he shall be saved! ! !

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
