O' Christmas Tree Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

O' Christmas Tree

Rating: 5.0

O' Christmas tree
Let you be cut down
And decorated with ornaments
Of gold and silver
And a statue of the Child Jesus
Underneath
As the presents surround you
Then, after the celebrations in January
Discarded in the streets
Waiting to be picked up
And grounded for food
For the next year's tree

Its almost a crime, we harvest a life so it serves a purpose for a few weeks or a month then we throw it away. That's why my family had an artificial one! . Happy Holidays LeeAnn! . Many blessings
