Nzolo Poem by Uche Nwanze

Nzolo

When the pain refuses to subside
When darkness fails to fade
When sadness shadows my steps
When Mondays are Mourndays for me
When despair has eclipsed our joy
When the Sun refused to get up from sleep
When all that remains of you are memories
When your remains are relics of piety
When there're no goodbyes
When there is nobody to call mother
When this feeling won't go away
When your absence is unbearable
When the wounds refuse to heal
When the emptiness is endless
