Nunc Dimittis Poem by Midifo Yearns

Nunc Dimittis

Hand raised,
Sideward glance.
Little twinkle in the eye
Was all she saved
For the farewell.

She let me be
Stupid though I was
For I should have
Known
And stayed.
At least a little longer.

Strange how
All of life
Of loss and longing
Laughter and tears
Is captured in a single
Moment
In a little gesture,
One look of love.

Marvelous
Actually.
