Numb Poem by Hope Wallin

Numb

No shock.
No pain.
No tears.
Insane.
I should
Have cried.
I should
Have died.
But I
Did not.
Have I
Forgot?
No more
Feeling.
No more
Stealing
Glances at
Misery,
Happiness.
Dizzily,
I walk
Away,
I hear
You say,
'What you've
Become
Is something
Numb.'
It's true.
I have,
And can't
Come back.
