hi, valsa! it's been a while since i visited your poems, but you came to mind this morning, and this is the first one i've read. to your closing line, i say amen. reading this poem, i think of my poems " ode to now" and " for the moment, " and " island chain" in which i relate the experiences with my wife that stand out from the rest. hoping this finds you well, glen

exactly wrote the stanza - Thus our life slips away in uncertainty Sometimes splashed in cheer and built in hope Sometimes shattered in agony and lost in longing But life shouldn't be wasted away pining for what's not //// yeah;

Like you have so wonderfully penned in this 'Nuggets of wisdom', life is like a drama. Do your very best to make life graceful. Once the curtains are drawn, no more time to rectify your mistakes. Beautiful Poem dear Valsa! .........10

" All the world's a stage And all the men and women merely players" These lines are always embedded in my mind. As a dancer on stage for over forty years of my life, i have experienced both joy and agony. As long as i am on stage dancing, everything is joyful and beautiful but the moment you get off the stage life becomes a harsh reality.

I too compose poems, not the full poem, but some lines in my sleep. But when I get up, however hard I try to recall them, I find it in vain. Glad to know you composed one poem on me. It will be my honor, if you could put it in ink. Thanks a lot Poet's Poet!

Yes. It seems only we humans are lucky enough to be dragged half-cognizant, like a water skier with rope noosed around neck, slowly choking- while our drunken boat captain, who pays no attention to us, is obviously " lost at sea." The human condition is a divine comedy...except if you're human!

Thanks a lot Doug. Yes, many a time we are getting choked with the noose around our neck. In the turbulent sea, we are getting continuously tossed. I don't think our Captain is drunk.....! He will oneday steer our ship through the right track and take us safe on the harbour. I value your comment a lot!

The cycle of life, life's ups and downs and the many intricacies of life have been magnificently conveyed. Liked.the last stanza. A highly motivational thought that is so very true. A beautifully crafted and well executed write.

Life is a play to short for second acts, its best to savour it on the go. This nugget of wisdom is a treasure trove of truths, the last stanza is the grand finale of a wonderful closing. Too soon this little life will be ‘rounded with a sleep' And when our stage is curtained, with the play over All that left is how well we donned our roles So act out with grace, whatever role you are assigned! an epitaph for life.

All the men and women are players in the stage of world. Our life slips away in uncertainty building many hopes and beautiful memories. Sometimes life feels pain too. Soon this little life will be ‘rounded with a sleep as death is truth after birth. By God's grace we should actively play our roles. An important message is transferred through this excellent poem.10

Shakespeare’s poetry (16th century) is still received as endearingly as it was perceived then! I would quote your fourth stanza that articulates the reality of life: “Thus our life slips away in uncertainty/Sometimes splashed in cheer and built in hope/Sometimes shattered in agonies and lost in longing/But life shouldn't be wasted away pining for what's not”…alluring depiction of life evincing the reality! A great poem!
