Nowruz Comments

Googling again. This time for Eid. Eid usually refers to: Eid al-Fitr marks the end of the month of Ramadan; Putting this together with Nowruz, Rumi may be alluding that his love is as sacred and beautiful as his sacred beliefs

Went googling. The first day of spring is cause for a celebration in many cultures, but it's hard to top the 13-day festivities of the Persian New Year, Nowruz., or new day in Persian. Nowruz is an ancient festival that marks the beginning of spring and celebrates the rebirth of nature.

Beautifully envisioned great poem proclaiming the worth of eternal love that has a special bond between God and man and cherished by the poet too.

Line 2 appears to be a bad translation just for the sake of rhyme. It makes no sense. Can someone enlighten me on what Nowruz and Eid mean so that I can understand it better?

You are both my Eid and my Nowruz today! Rumi's poems reflect eternal love for God and man. The magical link between God and man is ' love'!
